Birthstones By Month: What Do They Mean?

Since time immemorial, countless cultures have given special powers to stones, and although some people might think that they are beliefs or popular folklore, two of the most important books in the history of mankind are the Old Testament and the Vedas, mention and highlight the properties and power of natural stones and gems.

Modern archeology has been able to decipher mystical writings from before Christ in which they mentioned that each astrological sign had to be worn with a specific stone in order to live in harmony with the spirits.

Today I want to talk to you about birthstones, those that are associated with each month of birth; In other words, each person is entitled to a stone according to the month in which he or she has a birthday.

Birthstones contain secrets, attributes and knowledge, which are unique to each precious material, and countless powers are attributed to them. Also, once you know what your birthstone is, its power of attraction is awakened in consciousness and a fantastically romantic spell begins.

January: GARNET
Garnet is the birthstone for the month of January. It is credited with the ability to ward off nightmares and offer guidance in the dark as well as symbolizing many different positive emotions. Tradition says that it is a good gift for the wedding anniversary.

Amethyst, the birthstone of February, is the purple variety of quartz. Mythologically it is related to wine and business, which is why it is said to cure drunkenness and make you resourceful in business. Amethyst symbolizes peace, serenity and temperance, its purple shade is linked to royalty, power and the church.

Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March, and is related to crystal clear waters and clear skies. This stone is said to bring health, love, youth, and hope. It is considered a good amulet for everyone starting a new journey.
