Birthstones By Month: What Do They Mean?

Since time immemorial, countless cultures have given special powers to stones, and although some people might think that they are beliefs or popular folklore, two of the most important books in the history of mankind are the Old Testament and the Vedas, mention and highlight the properties and power of natural stones and gems.

Modern archeology has been able to decipher mystical writings from before Christ in which they mentioned that each astrological sign had to be worn with a specific stone in order to live in harmony with the spirits.

Today I want to talk to you about birthstones, those that are associated with each month of birth; In other words, each person is entitled to a stone according to the month in which he or she has a birthday.

Birthstones contain secrets, attributes and knowledge, which are unique to each precious material, and countless powers are attributed to them. Also, once you know what your birthstone is, its power of attraction is awakened in consciousness and a fantastically romantic spell begins.

January: GARNET
Garnet is the birthstone for the month of January. It is credited with the ability to ward off nightmares and offer guidance in the dark as well as symbolizing many different positive emotions. Tradition says that it is a good gift for the wedding anniversary.


February: AMETHYST
Amethyst, the birthstone of February, is the purple variety of quartz. Mythologically it is related to wine and business, which is why it is said to cure drunkenness and make you resourceful in business. Amethyst symbolizes peace, serenity and temperance, its purple shade is linked to royalty, power and the church.


Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March, and is related to crystal clear waters and clear skies. This stone is said to bring health, love, youth, and hope. It is considered a good amulet for everyone starting a new journey.


The diamond is the stone of the newborns in the month of April. The hardness, light and brilliance of a diamond are linked to eternal love and commitment, making it the perfect gift to commemorate the most important moments in people's lives: births, engagement and anniversaries.


Emerald is the birthstone for May. Its green color symbolizes the splendor of spring and hope. It is related to the heart chakra and is said to heal a variety of diseases and ensure a promising future for its bearer.


The pearl is the birth gem of those born in the month of June. In some cultures they are known as the tears of the gods or the falling stars from the sky. This stone has been associated with chastity, purity and modesty, but above all with balance and stability in the person who wears them, especially if it is around the neck.


July: RUBY
Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July. Because of its red color it is associated with passion, love and success. Rubies bring harmony, which is why it is said that one can expect a peaceful life when wearing this stone.


The peridot is the birthstone of those born in August. It is associated with protection against evil and dark forces. It is believed to be capable of attracting happiness and helping you find solutions to problems. In addition, it is said to free the mind by providing peace of mind and warding off negative thoughts.


September: SAPPHIRE
Sapphire is the birthstone for September and is found in nature in all the colors of the rainbow except red. It is related to nobility, loyalty and wisdom. It is also known as the stone of communication and positive virtues.


October: OPAL
Opal is the birthstone for the month of October. Virtues of innocence and purity are attributed to it, and it is said that they can stimulate healthy friendships and emotions. It is associated with spontaneity, love, passion, and self-esteem.


November: CITRINE
Citrine is the birthstone for November. It is known for its calming energy and is associated with the life of the body and mind. It is believed to have the ability to attract happiness and abundance into the home and life of the people who own it.


Tanzanite is the birth gem for newborns in December. Typically it is associated with peace and quiet of mind. Likewise, various energetic and healing powers have been attributed to it. It is also associated with fortune and good luck.
